Ronald Alan Francisco, age 70, passed away on Monday, September 10, 2018 at his home in Stillwater, Oklahoma.
He was born March 29, 1948 in Chicago, Illinois to Kenneth Christopher and Helen (Ekstrom) Francisco. He married Deborah S. Taubman on June 6, 1970 in Chicago, Illinois.
Dr. Ronald Francisco attended several universities receiving his Bachelor’s Degree in Political Science from the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater and a Ph.D. in Political Science from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. He then became a professor at the University of Kansas where he taught Political Science and Russian and East European Studies from 1974-2014.
Ronald was predeceased by his parents, Kenneth and Helen Francisco.
He is survived by wife, Deborah, of the home; son, Christopher Francisco and his wife Cynthia and grandson, Benjamin Francisco.
A memorial service will be announced at a later date.
