Obituary for Alan Keith Kramer

With deep sadness and heavy hearts, we inform you of the passing of Alan Kramer. A celebration of life will be held at a later date.

Alan was born in Konawa, Oklahoma to William Alvin and Vausy Marie (Brazell) Kramer. He loved growing up there, as he explained, it was like living in Mayberry.

He graduated from Konawa High School in 1969, and in 1970 he and his best friend Drew Watts enlisted in the National Guard on the Buddy System. They ended up being sent to different camps. After his duty he returned to Oklahoma to attend OSU, graduating with an Associate's degree in Engineering. After graduation he went to work at Seminole Power Plant, transferring to Sooner Power Plant by Red Rock in 1978.

He married Alice Brooks on September 6, 1976. To this union they had a daughter Cary Denise Kramer on August of 1979. They later divorced.

Alan worked for OG&E for 34 years before taking early retirement at 56. He loved his job at OG&E and all the friends he made during his time at OG&E where he received many accolades. He claimed to have Kramer's luck at Men & Women's Club with OG&E winning lots of prizes.

During the 1990's his past time he worked the Pritt crew for his friends racing team, which he enjoyed.

In June of 1998, he went on his first date with the love of his life Nancy (Griffith) Dvorak and they were together every day when they married June 19, 1999 in Eureka Springs, Arkansas. To this union he gained sons Nick and Jared.

They had so much fun together from going to OSU sports, concerts, musicals, car shows, antique shows and our home away from home in Crested Butte, Colorado. He will be greatly missed.
