Obituary for Barbara Jean Welp
Barbara Welp, 83, loving wife of Tom Welp passed away May 11, 2023. There will be a special service for the family at Sunset Memorial Garden in Stillwater, OK at a later date.
Barbara was born February 12, 1940 in Steeleville, IL to Eddie and Mildred Sternberg. She married Tom Welp on June 6, 1959. Tom and Barbara had 58 wonderful years together.
Upon finishing high school Barbara worked in the printing business before marrying Tom Welp. She then became a full time homemaker for many years. She was a wonderful wife, loving daughter, mother, and grandmother to her family. She enjoyed spending time with her family, cleaning, working outside and helping others. She never met a stranger. She was an active member of Zion Lutheran Church in Stillwater OK and loved to attend the OSU girl's basketball games.
Barbara was preceded in death by her parents; husband Tom and son Todd.
Barbara is survived by her daughters Jodi Bosler (Bob) of Stillwater, OK and Tricia Pettiford (Mikel) of Garland, TX; grandchildren, Matt (Michele), Aaron (Cara)and Josh (Stephanie) Bosler of Stillwater, OK; Kelsey and Lexus Pettiford of Garland, TX; great grandsons, Jack, Bryck and Thomas Bosler of Stillwater , Cayson Pettiford of Garland, TX; great granddaughters, Layni, Lauren, Angela, Allie, Bostynn and Brooklynn Bosler of Stillwater, Nina Bradley of Stillwater, Tristynn Singleton, Kylee Pettiford and Shaunie Miles of Garland, TX; sisters, Judy Kochevar Houston TX, Shirley Schnoeker Troy Il.
