Obituary for Billy Loyal Cole
Billy Loyal Cole, age 93, of Mannford, Oklahoma died Thursday, January 19, 2023 at his home. The family will greet friends at the funeral home from 6:00 to 7:30 p.m. Wednesday January 25, 2023. Funeral services will begin at 10:00 a.m. Thursday, January 26, 2023 at the Stillwater First Assembly of God Church with his son Reverend Aaron Cole officiating. Burial will follow in the Box Cemetery in Box, Oklahoma at 3:00 pm Thursday January 26, 2023. Strode Funeral Home and Cremation is in charge of the arrangements.
Billy was born October 25, 1929 in Fort Gibson, Oklahoma to Eddie Orian and Dicie Evelyn (Bryan) Cole. He was educated in the Box and Vian, Oklahoma areas.
On December 24, 1949 Billy married Melva Jean Skaggs in Vian. They celebrated 65 years of marriage before her passing in 2015. Billy worked as an airline mechanic for Continental Airlines where he retired after 37 years. After retiring He and Melva joined MAPPS RVers and traveled building churches across Oklahoma, Kansas and one in Hawaii. He was the caretaker of the Oklahoma District Campgrounds in Sparks, Oklahoma for 4 years. Billy was a member of the Stillwater First Assembly of God.
He is preceded in death his wife Melva Jean and his son Eddie Cole, one granddaughter and one great grandson.
He is survived by his daughters Leota Gaither and Karen Amey and husband DaNeal; his sons Richard Cole and wife Marlene and Aaron Cole and wife Brenda; his daughter-in law Carol Cole; 16 grandchildren; 30 great-grandchildren; and 1 great-great-granddaughter.
Pallbearers will be Grandsons; Robert Gaither, Tim Gaither, Drew Cole, Jeff Gaither, Dustin Cole, Joshua Cole, Bradley Cole, Jonathan Amey.
