Obituary for Mary Louise Knori

Mary Louise Knori, 73, of Stillwater, Oklahoma passed away on July 3, 2021 and is now at peace after a long battle with cancer. She currently lays in rest at Strode Funeral Home. A rosary will begin at 7:00 p.m. Thursday, July 8, 2021 at St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church. A Mass of Christian burial will be at 10:00 a.m. Friday, July 9, 2021 at the same location; Father Brian O’Brien will be presiding. Burial will follow at Gracelawn Cemetery in Edmond, Oklahoma.

Mary (Duffle) Knori was born in Chickasha, Oklahoma to Leon and Rose Duffle on February 28, 1948. She married Leon Knori in 1967, but later divorced. She earned her Bachelor of Science Degree in Education at Central State College and then was awarded her Master’s Degree at Oklahoma State University. Mary worked as a guidance counselor at Yale High School helping many of her students get into college. She later worked at Payne County Youth and Family Services. She loved helping young people achieve their dreams.

She enjoyed gardening and was a devoted Oklahoma State fan. She was an active member of Saint Francis Xavier Catholic Church, Relay for Life of Stillwater, and spent many years volunteering for numerous organizations.

Mary was preceded in death by her parents and four of her brothers Don, Barry, Steve, Charles and sister-in-law Rebecca. She is survived by her son Matt Knori, his fiancé Shelby, and his children Lauren, Gage and Kylie; Son David Knori and his wife Amy; Daughter Amy Hoff and her husband Derek and his daughter Carley. Sister Betty Woody and her husband Johnny; Brother David Duffle and his wife Debby; Brother Bob and his wife Cindy; Brother Mike; Sister-in-law Marca Duffle; Sister-in-law Denise Duffle; as well as many nieces and nephews.
