Obituary for Emily Anne Gunn
On Friday, November 1, 2022, Emily Anne Gunn, loving mother of two and dedicated child of Heavenly Father passed away at the age of 63. Emily was born on December 16, 1958 in San Francisco, CA, to Pelacia (Fely) Langan and Emilio Bautista. She proudly served in the Air Force at Lackland A.F.B in San Antonio, TX in 1981. In 1983, Emily was stationed in Okinawa, Japan for her military services where she met and married, Larry Tollison Jr. They raised two children, Chad and Sarah Tollison. In 1995, Emily married Scott Gunn in Nevada. With Scott, Emily has a stepdaughter, Samantha Gunn, and granddaughter, Natalie.
Emily had a passion for serving, learning, and growing. She studied scriptures and applied herself. She also loved to walk trails with scenic views, play dominoes, call family and friends, and watch movies while snacking. Emily also was an avid music listener and a fan of The Osmond’s (mainly Donnie). She was known for being the most thoughtful person, with her infectious smile, her kind heart, and her compassionate spirit. Emily was also known for being sweet, genuine, generous, and having a beautiful soul.
She was preceded in death by her father, Emilio Bautista. She is survived by her mother, Pelacia (Fely) Langan, and step father, Valentine Langan; her children, Sarah Tollison and Chad (wife-Robin) Tollison; her grandchildren, Angelya, Jade, Chynslee, Channing, Josabella, Natalie; her sister, Ellie Bautista (husband-Rick Zilla); her brother, JC Yared (wife-Myra); her dear friend, Scott Gunn (his daughter Samantha) as well as many nieces, nephews and cousins.
A Memorial Service will be held on Wednesday, November 9, 2022 at 2:00 p.m. at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day-Saints ( 2324 W 26th Ave Stillwater, OK 74074). Flowers can be sent to 2324 W 26th Ave Stillwater, OK 74074.
