Obituary for Linda Kay Jones
Linda Kay Jones, age 70, passed away on November 22, 2022 in Carney, Oklahoma surrounded by her loved ones. Her services will be held at 1:30 p.m. on November 29, 2022, at the Strode Funeral Home Chapel in Stillwater, Oklahoma.
Linda was born on September 18, 1952, in Stillwater, Oklahoma to Kenneth F. Hutchinson and Betty (Lorie Breeden) Hutchinson. She and her husband, Greg, were married November 28, 1982, in Stillwater, Oklahoma.
Linda attended C.E. Donart High School, Stillwater, Oklahoma, then went on to attend Oklahoma State University in Stillwater, where she received a Bachelor’s degree in Food and Dairy Science. After graduation, she worked for over thirty years as a Public Health Specialist/Health Inspector for both Lincoln County and the State of Oklahoma. She was also a member of the National Environmental Health Association.
Linda’s hobbies included working as the sound technician for her husband’s music, photography, sewing, baking, reading, and bird watching.
Linda is preceded in death by her parents, Kenneth and Betty Hutchinson of Tryon, Oklahoma.
Linda is survived by her loving husband, Greg; daughter Shannon Cagle and her husband Chris; grandson Kyle Sage; granddaughter Kymber Scott and her husband, Austin; and great grandchildren, Ophelia Scott and Olan Scott.
