Obituary for Chris Hulsey
O. Chris Hulsey, 65, died July 5, 2023. A memorial service will be 4:00 p.m. Saturday, July 8, 2023 at the Southside Baptist Church in Stillwater. A private family Inurnment will take place at a later date. Strode Funeral Home and Cremation is in charge of the arrangements.
Chris was born to Orbra Carrel and Fleda "Teda" Grace Hulsey November 17, 1957 in Oklahoma City. Chris was a 1976 graduate of Fort Cobb High School. He went on to attend the Missionary Baptist College in Marlow. The Southside Baptist Church held his membership.
Chris enjoyed being around people. He liked studying scripture, and volunteering at area nursing homes. He was an avid OSU fan, and enjoyed watching all OSU sports. He loved to work and did so as often as he could.
Chris is preceded in death by his father.
He is survived by his mother; his sisters Caryl and her husband John Talley, Carrie and her husband Robert Emerson; Nephew, Saul and his wife Mary Beth Talley; his nieces, Grace and her husband Bryan Willnerd, and Hulsey Greene; his great niece Elsie Talley; great nephews, Stran Talley and Arthur Willnerd; his aunt Mary Ruth Dwyer; as well as numerous cousins.
The family requests that those wishing to honor Chris's memory do so by making contributions to the Southside Baptist Church, C/O Chris Hulsey Memorial Fund, 1223 S. Perkins, Stillwater, OK. 74074.
The family would like to thank the staff of Golden Oaks, his church family at Southside Baptist Church and the responding members of the Stillwater Police and Fire Department.
