Obituary for Orvile Eugene Mayfield
Orvile Mayfield, 90, died March 13, 2023. Funeral services will begin at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, March 18, 2023 at the Calvary Assembly of God Church in Stillwater. Interment will follow in Sunset Memorial Gardens. Strode Funeral Home and Cremation is in charge of the arrangements.
Orvile was born November 23, 1932 in Glencoe, Oklahoma to Logan and Christeena (Davison) Mayfield. He was a 1953 graduate of Quay High School. After graduation Orvile joined the Army. In 1976 Orvile and Velta Wilson where united in marriage until her passing in July 2022. He worked as an X-Ray technician on the pipeline and later went to work for Moore Business Forms where he retired after 30 years.
Orvile is preceded in death by both parents; his brother Logan and sister Coleen.
He is survived by his stepdaughters Doris Warnock and husband Larry and Deborah Snow and husband Dennis; his grandchildren Amanda Webster and husband Ryan, Jason Warnock and wife Sumer, and Siedina Kerntke and husband Robert; 12 great grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren; as well as many nieces and nephews.
