R.D. graduated from Noble High School and married his beloved wife Jackie in Norman, Oklahoma. They built their home and raised their family of four children in Stillwater while he attended college. Bob served as an active-duty Supply Sergeant with the Air Force Reserves during WWII and the Korean War and he graduated from Oklahoma State University (OSU) in 1956. His career culminated with his plumbing and HVAC superintendent work on Remington Park racetrack in Oklahoma City.

Bobby was a beloved Son, Brother, Uncle, Husband, Father, and Grandfather. He enjoyed his friends and family and rarely missed a family reunion or get together. He enjoyed fishing, hunting and attending or watching OSU athletic events. He read the newspaper every day, and watched multiple news programs to track current events. He was a talented mechanic who worked on the family cars and he helped build many homes for himself and others. He traveled extensively in the U.S. and abroad with his beloved wife Jackie, family, and friends. He loved playing cards and dominoes. He was helpful, generous and kind, he gave good advice, he was funny, and he loved to laugh. He made people feel welcome and special everywhere he went.
