Obituary for Sue Frances White
Sue Frances White, age 83, of Stillwater, died Thursday, November 3, 2022. Funeral services will begin at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, November 5, 2022 at the Strode Funeral Home Chapel with burial following in Fairlawn Cemetery. Strode Funeral Home and Cremation is in charge of the arrangements.
Sue was born July 11, 1939 in Dyersburg, Tennessee to John and Ola Mae Wardlow. She was raised and attended school in Memphis, Tennessee and was a member of the Church of Christ. Sue met and married Cliff (Sonny) White in 1957. Sue and Sonny moved to Stillwater in the early 1980’s. While Sonny owned and operated Economy Transmissions Sue went to work for Wal-Mart where she worked for 35 years. Sue became very close to those she met at Wal-Mart and considered them family.
Sue is preceded in death by her parents; her husband Sonny; her granddaughter Gina; her grandson Josh; and one sister.
Members of Sue’s family include her children Mike White and wife Robin, Patti Brittain and husband Alan, Bob White, Teri Denison and husband Chris, and Jeff White; her grandchildren Stephanie White Coffman and husband Craig, Kevin White and wife Rhonda, Jennifer Brittain Pendergrast, Bobby Brittan, Cliff White and Amber, Brandi Denison McDermott and husband Evan, and Spencer White and Erin; two brothers Leon Wardlow as well as Jerry Wardlow and wife Jane; her great-grandchildren Chesney, Sydney, Ian, Shelby, Andrew, Clayton, Jannah, Evan, Payton and Taylor; step great-grandchildren Aiden and Makayla; and great-great grandson Nathan.
The family would like to thank Karman Legacy Hospice for their care and all of the wonderful friends for the love and support during Sue’s brief illness.
