I just learned today that Dr. Pettyjohn has passed. If it not for him, I probably would never have been successful as a groundwater geologist. He let me work for his hydrogeology lab at Ohio State University for several years, starting as a freshman. He was a proud Marine, too! I once asked him if he ever got excited since he was always so under control. He said the last time I got excited was years ago when I passed the bar exam! One of his many, many accomplishments. Condolences to his family. I know all of us from Ohio State will miss him!
