Here in Albuquerque, stunned to read of Barbara’s death. She was the ever-capable professional, with razor sharp intellect and wit; it was actually fun to work with her. Loved her humor, born of critical thinking and impatience with absurdity; with always an abundance of absurdity and irony there was always a lot of laughter. I’ve never forgotten this woman of accomplishment and strength and quiet dignity -- now remembering her also with sorrow and regret. Tempus fugit.
